13.5 Missing and Overlap

In AeroGCS Orange, users can examine missing and overlapping images in a captured image set during a flight. To perform this task, the user needs to select an image folder containing geotagged images and click on the "Missing and Overlap" button. The user will see the following screen.

On this screen, users can identify gaps between images, indicating areas where images are missing or not captured during the flight. On the right side of the screen, users will find a widget displaying image footprints and overlaps. The widget provides information on the total number of images. Users can select the correct camera type from the dropdown list to ensure accurate data. Additionally, users can choose a custom camera and set parameters such as height sensor, width sensor, focal length, and drone altitude. To check overlap, users must select the "Check Overlap" checkbox, which will display the following screen.

On this screen, users will observe front overlap and side overlap percentages. There is an option to enable the footprint, and a "Calculate" button allows users to compute it. Once the user selects or enables the footprint and clicks on the "Calculate" button, the tool will determine the footprint and display the final output on the user's screen, as shown in the following screen.

In conclusion, AeroGCS Orange empowers users to analyze missing and overlapping images in a captured set, providing valuable insights into flight coverage. This feature enhances users' ability to assess data completeness and plan future flights for comprehensive data collection.

Note:- For the missing and overlapping section in the Data Verification Tool, the user must ensure that they select a geotagged image set for accurate and effective analysis.
