7.5.4. Vertical Plan

To edit a Vertical plan for a specific project, begin by opening the plan in the flight plan view.

As shown in the following screen.

After the vertical plan is visible on the screen, click on the "Edit" button to access and modify the vertical plan details. This allows users to edit Vertical Details and Fence Boundary as needed.

Alternatively, if the user wishes to reuse the plan without making any edits, they can directly upload it by clicking on the "Upload" button.

Vertical Details :

In this section, users can edit and modify waypoint parameters such as altitude, speed, maximum altitude, number of waypoints, camera action, gimbal settings, and hold duration.

Upon clicking the Edit button, the user will be presented with the following screen to modify the vertical plan details.

On this screen, longitude and latitude are pre-set for each vertical waypoint based on the user-defined location. The user establishes the altitude for the first vertical waypoint, maximum altitude, speed, and the total number of vertical waypoints for the plan. Subsequently, the altitude for the remaining waypoints is calculated by dividing the maximum altitude by the total number of waypoints. Users can further customize the altitude for each waypoint by entering specific values for each vertical waypoint.

Camera Action :

In the AeroGCS ORANGE vertical plan, users have the option to set the camera trigger action for each waypoint from the drop-down list. To edit the Camera Action for a specific waypoint, the user can select the waypoint and choose the desired camera action from the drop-down menu.

Gimbal :

In the AeroGCS ORANGE vertical plan, users can enable or disable the Gimbal for each waypoint. To edit the Gimbal settings for a waypoint, select the waypoint and click the Gimbal checkbox to enable it. Once enabled, users can set values for pitch, roll, and yaw. It's important to note that users cannot set pitch, roll, and yaw if the Gimbal checkbox is not selected.

Hold :

In AeroGCS ORANGE, users can hold the flying drone at a waypoint for a specified duration in seconds. To edit the hold duration, enable the Hold option by clicking the checkbox, and then enter the desired hold duration in seconds in the text field. It's important to note that users cannot set the hold duration if the Hold option is not selected.

Fence Boundary :

To edit the fence boundary in the waypoint plan, the user must enable it using the switch button provided. Enabling this option will display fence waypoints on the map in red color with numbers. Users can select a fence waypoint to change its location and drag it to a new position. This action will rearrange and redraw the fence boundary according to the updated fence waypoints.

Users can remove a fence boundary waypoint by selecting it with a single click and then clicking on the "Clear" button. This action will delete the selected fence boundary waypoint.

Note: For a vertical plan, a minimum of 3 fence waypoints is sufficient to draw a fence around the plan.

After finishing the editing of the vertical plan, the user should click on the "Apply" button to implement the updated parameters. Following the application of the new parameters, the user must save the plan by clicking on the "Save" button, ensuring that the updated plan is permanently saved.
